I am not the kind of person who gives up on a book easily. No matter what happens, I try my best to finish a book that I have started so, I had never thought of a DNF list. However now that I think about it there have been some books slowly creeping into my list of books that I gave up on.
I intend to keep this review free of spoilers. Do I know the problem of accidentally stumbling upon a spoiler. I actually dived right into the story as soon as I learned that it was about a girl and a boy being locked in a library. Who wouldn’t? That would be like a dream come true. Even if I was alone in a library. Of course, I would be a tiny bit worried, exactly like Autumn got worried.
I admit, I cry pretty easily when it comes to books and movies. But here are some of the many MANY memorable UGLY cries.
Half the time I was reading it, I was expecting something horrible to happen. I just did not trust the author enough to believe that everything would be all right and I could allow myself to care for the characters
Rizzoli and Isles is a crime fiction/ thriller series with eleven published book and two short stories to this date by author Tess Gerritsen. These books feature Boston Police Department's Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles. I got to read this series almost like a read-a-thon, so by the time I was thinking of reviewing them in detail I was halfway through the series. So here is a thank you letter to the entire series.
This book is not just science fiction. It has science fiction, an element of thriller, lots of action, and plethora of emotional scenes. And though the romance is not a strong front, it is certainly there. More like the desperation of a man to keep his family- his life together. There are certain points in the books where the emotional and or plot twists scenes that are too deep, when I had to stop reading and take a breath.
